Molecular and cell biologists study a broad spectrum of problems across several disciplines. An explicit goal of the Molecular and Cell Biology Department at UC Merced is to collabroate and contribute significantly across those disciplines and to foster overall interdisciplinary research and education. Our scientists are connected closely through their shared approach and attitude toward interdisciplinary research. They are individuals who are trained in the development of biological research for real-world problems and in applying a diverse and modern systems approach to solve them.
